Education

Karan Pareek’s educational journey reflects a transition from a small rural school in Rajasthan to one of India’s leading universities. His academic path has been shaped not only by formal education but also by his experiences in student leadership, intellectual discussions, and social initiatives. From a modest beginning in a village school to pursuing Political Science at the University of Delhi, his journey highlights the importance of curiosity, perseverance, and engagement with society.

Early Education

Karan Pareek began his early education in a small village in Rajasthan known as 2KLD. He started his schooling at Oxford Children Academy, a small private school that served students from nearby villages.

The school had extremely limited infrastructure. The entire institution functioned within just twelve rooms, which accommodated everything from the principal’s office to classrooms for students from primary classes to senior secondary streams. Like many rural schools, there were no sports facilities and very limited educational resources.

Due to the educational environment in rural areas, Karan also studied for some time in a few other nearby village schools. These schools were small and simple, reflecting the educational reality of rural India where government schools often struggled with infrastructure and private schools operated with minimal facilities.

Despite these limitations, this period of education played a crucial role in shaping his understanding of society, rural life, and the challenges of educational inequality.

Higher Secondary Education

After completing his early schooling in the village, Karan moved to Sikar, Rajasthan for his higher secondary education.

This phase marked a major transition in his academic journey. One of the most significant changes during this period was the shift in the medium of education from Hindi to English, which required considerable adaptation and effort.

Studying in a new academic environment helped him broaden his perspective and develop stronger academic discipline while deepening his interest in understanding society, ideas, and public life.

University Education

Following his higher secondary education, Karan Pareek secured admission to the University of Delhi. He is currently pursuing Political Science at Kirori Mal College, where his academic interests focus on political theory, constitutionalism, governance, and the relationship between politics and society.

Being part of one of the leading colleges of the University of Delhi has provided him with opportunities to engage in intellectual discussions, academic forums, and student initiatives related to politics, society, and public life.

University Leadership & Campus Initiatives

During his time at Kirori Mal College, Karan Pareek has actively participated in student initiatives, academic societies, and leadership roles that promote intellectual dialogue and campus engagement.

He founded the Gandhi Study Circle at Kirori Mal College, a student initiative dedicated to discussions on Gandhian thought, ethics, and contemporary social issues.

In his second year, he served as the General Secretary of the Political Science Department Society, where he helped organize academic discussions, departmental events, and student engagement programs.

Later, during his third year, he became actively involved in student activism and institutional initiatives, working towards strengthening student participation and campus dialogue.

He also served as the Marketing Head for college initiatives and events, where he contributed to outreach, collaborations, and promotional activities. Through these roles, he was involved in several efforts related to campus engagement and improvements in infrastructure and student facilities.
